To assist our clients with technology transfer, Innovation Management Partners offers a superior relationship-based intellectual property brokerage.  We act as an intermediary in technology value management, providing tools to evaluate the future success of technologies, creating strong bonds of communication, then guiding the transfer process.  We emphasize personal contact and creating accessibility between the creators and users of technology.  You will have a personal advisor who will broker your transaction, and then stay with you to serve as a knowledgeable business consultant and advocate, smoothing the transition process.

We maximize the success of the transition of intellectual property by creating Strategic relationships (SR) and Global strategic relationships (GSR) with companies looking to acquire new innovations.  Our publicly traded clients provide either unregistered shares of common stock or cash as payment for the services we render under our strategic alliance consulting engagements.

The Innovation Management Strategic relationship (SR) and Global strategic relationship (GSR) process:

  1. Our Technology Advisory team works with you to create a profile of new technology or intellectual property needs strategic to your business.

  2. Using Innovation Management’s proprietary database and search engine to query the available technologies, nearing 100,000 for immediate licensing and leveraging our network of over 180 universities, research laboratories and government agencies, Innovation Management will filter and present what our Advisory Board feels are the best two to three possible discoveries per month which are available for immediate exclusive license, (totaling 24 – 36 evaluations annually.)

  3. Once Innovation Management identifies the technology, we conduct our own due diligence by leveraging our Advisory Board and Strategic Partnerships (1), comprised of Academic and Industry leaders.  Innovation Management then arranges and accompanies your organization during your due diligence at the research center.

  4. If your organization wishes to acquire a technology, Innovation Management will provide a term sheet describing the transaction. Upon mutual agreement of terms, Innovation Management will then broker ("transfer") the technology to your organization.

  5. If needed, Innovation Management can also provide additional resources at the time of transfer to help accelerate the commercialization of new products based on the transferred technology. These may include consulting services, agreements to advance the technology, consulting agreements with the inventor(s) of the technology and financing for prototype development and product launch.

  6. The process does not end once the first transfer is complete. We continue, per our client's needs and specifications, to present two to three technologies each month throughout the one year strategic agreement.
